How We Help
Common Cents
By using a little COMMON CENTS, the workplace has become more rewarding for everyone.
Concerned about sinking credit and soaring bankruptcy, we began Common Cents in 2007. A workplace financial education program, Common Cents gives employers the opportunity to give their hourly employees a better understanding of their finances. Nearly 2,000 Memphis-area employees from over 50 companies and nonprofit agencies have successfully completed the curriculum in such topics as banking, budgeting, debt management, spending strategies and retirement.
The results will be increased productivity and decreased absenteeism.
That’s money.
What’s up with RISE:
• 1 in 5 employees have financial problems enough to affect productivity.
• According to the Federal Reserve Bank, those employees will spend 20 hours a month on the job trying to resolve those problems.
UPDATE:
RISE is now providing Common Cents classes for individuals employed in the service industry through Serve Memphis. You will hear more about this in the upcoming months.
