Memphis, TN – (September 23, 2024) RISE Memphis is excited to announce a generous $85,000 donation from International Paper to support our Goal Card Program. This vital program empowers public school students by teaching them how to set and achieve academic, financial, and life goals. Through structured academic mentoring and the encouragement of adult volunteers, Goal Card students receive the guidance they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom.
The Goal Card program operates as an incentive-based system where students earn points for their accomplishments, which can be redeemed for school supplies, gift cards, and small electronics. Students are also encouraged to save their points for larger rewards, fostering a sense of financial responsibility. Thanks to ongoing support from community partners like International Paper, the program continues to deliver outstanding results—Goal Card students have maintained a 100% graduation rate.
This donation will help RISE Memphis further expand its impact, providing more students with the tools and mentorship necessary to thrive in school and beyond. We are deeply grateful to International Paper for their continued commitment to the success of young people in our community.
